Archigram Cities
2020

Category: Academic symposium
Location: online and Power Station of Art, Shanghai

Curatorial role: Programme design and management, artist commission
Archigram Cities was a series of online and offline talks and screenings organised by M+ Museum, in collaboration with the University of Hong Kong’s Department of Architecture and the Power Station of Art in Shanghai. The programme was designed to embed British architectural group Archigram’s archive in the context of its new home in Hong Kong, and trace new lines of inquiry into Archigram's work through a broader geographical and disciplinary framework.

The symposium was organised as a series of three sessions, with each session focusing on a distinct inquiry into Archigram’s work across the issues of inhabitations, figurations, and transmissions. In the countercultural spirit of Archigram, presentations were followed by a ‘Trash History/Theory’ response by Archigram members, before a panel discussion.
